Pre-registration and prepayment of course fee is required for all classes. Class size is limited to ensure individualized attention. Early registration is recommended as students are registered on a "first come, first served" basis. We are not able to admit students at class time who have not pre-registered.
Choose classes carefully! It is your responsibility to insure that you are enrolled in the proper class. We do not know your requirements. Class fees are non refundable. Our classes fill up fast and enrollment space is at a premium. Therefore, we must be notified within 48 hours prior to the class date if you cannot attend. Upon notification, you may transfer your fee once to another class that is scheduled within 4 months. If you do not reschedule or do not attend the class, you will forfeit the entire course fee.
Chapter may, at its own discretion, cancel a class. In the unlikely case that happens, all enrollees will be notified and assisted in transferring to another class.

Course Information
Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may not be admitted. Most of our courses utilize videos, group discussions and practice. Because of these interactive training methods, students must attend all class sessions to receive certification.
Students will be required to actively participate. Comfortable clothing that will allow kneeling and lying on the floor is recommended. All day classes will have a lunch break; classes are also given short breaks.
Certification
Upon successfully fulfilling course requirements your certification cards will be presented. For business classes cards will be mailed within 10 days. CPR certifications are valid for one year and first aid certifications are valid for three years.
Special Education Needs
Training in first aid and CPR requires physical activity. If you have a medical condition or disability that prevents you from taking part in skill sessions, you may choose to audit (participate without certification) the class. Call the Health & Safety Director at (707) 257-2900 for details.
Health Precautions
The Red Cross follows the cleaning and decontamination guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control. When these guidelines are consistently followed and basic personal hygiene is practiced, the risk of any kind of disease transmission during CPR is extremely low.
If you have a condition that would increase your risk or another participant's risk of exposure to infections, request a separate manikin either by calling Health and Safety at (707) 257-2900 or asking your instructor to provide one for your use.
